Signatures are captured at every exchange-point in a package’s lifecycle, including Pickup, Delivery and Return-Trip when applicable. Along with each signature capture image, the driver will gather the name of the signee and offer two options for shipment status auto-notification or receipt. If the signee chooses, they may offer their fax number or email address to the driver. Upon inputting this information, the Xcelerator server will send immediate notifications upon Pickup, Delivery and Return-Trip signatures. Signatures are stored permanently for easy online tracking access at any point in the future and can also be sent digitally to those shippers requiring EDI (Electronic Data Interchange).
